Craps Table: Rules and Bets

Craps table is a casino dice game, where players bet on the outcomes of the roll of a pair of dice. The players wager money against online casino.

Craps table can have up to 20 players at the table. The players are taking turns rolling the dice. The person who is rolling the dice is a “shooter”.

Online Craps Rules

Firstly, there are two types of bets in this game. You can place a “pass line” bet. It means that you bet that the dice will land on a 7 or 11. The second type of bet is a “don’t pass” bet or “any craps” bet, betting on the dice landing on 2,3 or 12.

The first throw of the dice is called “comeout roll”. If the dice didn’t land on neither “pass line” nor “don’t pass” numbers, then the corresponding bets remain in play for the future rolls.

“Comeout roll” also establishes the so-called the “point” number. If the dice lands on 4,5,6,8,9 or 10, then that number becomes the “point” on the craps table. In online casinos there is a small button that appears on the screen once the point has been established. It is usually white color and says “On”.

The game continues until either “the point” number or number 7 is rolled. If the point number is rolled first, then all “pass line” bets win. If number 7 comes out first, then “don’t pass” bets would win.

Craps Terminology

There are other bets types apart from the ones mentioned earlier. 

Any Seven – this bet wins if the shooter rolls a number 7. Ace Deuce bet wins if the shooter rolls a number 3. Aces – for a number 2. Boxcars – for a number 12. Finally, Horn – for numbers 2, 3, 11 or 12.
